Greg Goode
to Step Up Campaign
Indiana State Univ. Administrator's Last
Day is Sept. 30th
Terre Haute, IN -- Greg Goode, a Republican candidate for the 8th
congressional district of Indiana, will officially step down from
his administrative position at Indiana State University to begin
campaigning nearly full-time. Goode, who has been chief public affairs
officer at Indiana State University ("ISU") for the past
five years, announced his candidacy August 1, 2007, but remained
in his position at ISU through September 30th.
"This focus will allow me to dedicate my full attention and
energy to the campaign. I am going to give this campaign all that
I have to give, and I hope that you will join me," said Goode.
"We enter this new phase of the campaign in a strong position,"
said Communications Director Joshua Claybourn. "The next few
weeks will only serve to build upon those efforts."
Goode anticipates visits to the towns of Dugger and Cory during
the weekend of September 29th, quickly followed by the West Side
Nut Club Fall Festival in Evansville during the first week of October.
"Hoosiers of the 8th district are already responding to Goode's
message with a strong upwelling of grassroots support. Traveling
throughout the district will play to Greg's strengths, his ability
to clearly spread his message, and his ability to work with and
connect with Hoosiers from all walks of life," said Claybourn.
