VINCENNES—Eighth District Congressional candidate Greg Goode today announced his plan, if elected, to open a Congressional district office in the city of Vincennes that will be dedicated for assisting constituents who are having difficulty in dealing with the federal government. Goode previously served as the Constituent Services Director for two United States Congressmen.

"Commitment to a strong constituent services program is a defining characteristic of a Congressman who is accessible to his constituents and responsive to their needs," said Goode. "I think it is unrealistic for folks in Knox County to have to travel to Terre Haute or Evansville to meet with their Congressman and his staff.”

Goode hinted of his district office plan on Saturday, March 29th while attending a Vincennes pancake breakfast fundraiser for Hoosier National Guardsmen serving in Iraq. "There previously was a Congressional district office in Vincennes, and I was disappointed when I heard it was closed by the current Congressman," said Goode. "Listening to the families of Hoosier men and women in uniform confirmed my strong belief of having a Congressional office in Vincennes," Goode stated.

Goode is running unopposed in the upcoming May Republican primary and already has the support of all eighteen GOP County Chairmen in the 8th district, including TJ Brink of Knox County.
